Best Horror Films of the Decade (2000-2009)

I've allowed imdb to tell me what's horror or not for the sake of this list. In the 2000s, I don't believe there are any egregious omissions.

I've basically chosen the 25 I've liked the most. Simple as that. If something's missing that you think should be here, odds are I think it's not good enough, but I may have missed it or not seen it.

*Those with an asterisk are special. If someone were to ask me, "I wish to watch only the best films of the 2000s and now wish to survey just entries within or significantly touching upon the horror genre of that decade; which films should I watch?" the asterisked entries make up the list I would give. These are the best films that are horror films of the decade according to my knowledge, the films that deserve to be watched by anyone--fan of horror or not--for decades to come.
